Laughing While....?
colour me blue - there's something so strange about this one, even to me... Some paintings have their way of becoming themselves whatever you think your intentions are.
Last laughing while for a bit before starting a portrait I've longed to make for some time
Quite some time ago when Bitmoji were new I complained to dear pal @optilith that my issue with them is that they just didn't have high enough hair..
He being a Photoshop whizz among his many talents made me this
Me apologetically painting an attitudinal self portrait
So grateful
I'm exhibiting

'Laughing While......?'
Second lockdown painting on the easel, large multi figure composition a year in the planning. Like all work it had to find its time to be made. Interesting how this image has taken on a whole new meaning under these conditions.
The teeth are always last.
Well, what else would I be doing?
Relatively slow going in home studio so far but can't berate myself for that, we're all doing the best we can.
Painting has always been my close companion through the best & the worst, why would this time be any different?
'Laughing While......?'
I suspect many of us feel we are making a voyage into the unknown right now. Strange isn't it, how a painting can suddenly take on a new meaning?
Courage and safety to you all.
Please stay home.
