Princess Mary, Countess of Harewood, the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary, was born on 25 April 1897. She was named Princess Royal in 1932 after the death of her Aunt Louise, Duchess of Fife in 1931.
One of the most unfortunate unions in British Royal history took place on 8 April 1795 when George, Prince of Wales later, George IV, married his first cousin, Caroline of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. They did however manage to produce a daughter, Charlotte.

Lady Katherine and Lady Mary Grey, sisters of Lady Jane Grey, both suffered for being born too close to the Crown. Elizabeth denied them happiness with the men they loved. Katherine gave birth twice in the Tower and Mary spent some years under house arrest. #Tudors
