Again that what-if Super-10, an enlarged twin-engined development of the CAC J-10, which is or was sometimes proposed in some What-if-forums as an 'alternative' to the Su-27SK/J-11 in PLAAF-service.

An interesting article was posted at the CJDBY today: it mentioned "to ensure a new generation fighter jet's maiden flight in 2021 according to schedule" ... and noted development work done by 601 institute.

So is this a hint to the J-35 carrierborne fighter or nothing worth?🤔

There's an interesting discussion going on at the PDF concerning "Twin Engined J-10. What Happened to it?" and my reply was, that we don't even know if it was ever a real project & if it was ever real, then it was cancelled long ago and is no longer a viable option.
Any thoughts?

@JonLake1 @Rotorfocus @avisurfer @OmerAliBhatti1 Really? That at least surprises me since it means we both have a very different understanding of 'copy' or 'a design is influenced by'! If you rate this a copy, then do you rate the MS21 or C919 also a copy of the A320 or B767?
