This series has such a huge influence on my design that I don’t know where I’d be without it. With low poly and Y2K aesthetic coming back I feel the Battle Network art really captures it with a unique flair.

Not to mention how well they render hands 🤤 they’re so stylized yet posed with a sense of reality that makes their design effective. I’ve taken a lot of notes from this in how I draw hands.

When I was studying art one of the key points my professor taught us was creating volume in a 2D piece. Making something flat feel like it has dimensions is eye-catching to say the least. That’s why I love all the shape language in the official art.
