A Halo CE remaster is most likely to take the latter approach due to modern expectations, but if it had a similar philosophy to that of Eddie Smith's concepts, it could EASILY be a perfect "modern" interpretation of the CE artstyle. A 1:1 approach would not be logical IMO
The other route is a similar approach that was taken by Eddie Smith for the cancelled 2005 Halo movie. Notice how he adjusts the proportions? He interpreted Chief's armour almost like a small space ship, while still be INCREDIBLY faithful. THIS WORKS IMO despite not being 1:1

@NakaiCanon I think you can guess where my tastes lie, but I think h3 looks good in concept art for the sake of proportions, and HW has one of my favourites overall, the in game model that is. Legends (save the armor) also looks hella good.
