We're delighted to welcome @miraongchua to SB Comics Fair this year!
Mira Ong Chua is an artist telling fun, modern love stories with a nostalgic heart.
In the Middle Ages, a convent of nuns began to inexplicably meow like cats: 'The Convent of Cats and Stars' is perhaps that story...from the delightful mind of @bigger_trousers!
Going to continue spotlighting all our fair comics! Up today: @feever_dreem & @BearsAreRed's 'So Long, Distance' charts the intricacies and challenges of their long-distance relationship- funny, sweet, moving, and gorgeous collaborative cartooning mixing up each style.
It's another stonker: first look at @bao__haus's 'To All The White Girls I've Loved Before', a frank, raw, and complex look at race and relationships within the framework of chasing white-adjacent social positioning and 'acceptance'. Debuts next week at our digital fair!
Our final SB Comics Fair exhibitor is the wonderful @pixlotl! 'Nonbinary artist and clay wizard @pixlotl is creating a new comic for @SBComicsFair !
Based on their previous work we predict something with 3D elements and unsettling creatures ... ;-)'
We're so happy to have the wonderful @helcovell as part of SB Comics fair! An illustrator whose work is bright, playful and character-led. Inspired by the characters in video games- Helena likes to explore fresh colour palettes, energetic lines and sassy characters.
Couldn't be happier to have the wonderful @bigger_trousers as an exhibitor! Molly Fairhurst is an illustrator and animator from the Yorkshire Dales based in Bristol. She likes drawings, and she likes words, likes them both daft, and realised together they would make a comic.
Thrilled to have the wonderful @bao__haus join us as an exhibitor! Sarula Bao is a queer Chinese-American illustrator and graphic novelist. Her personal work explores aspects of Chinese culture, aesthetics, and narrative through a 2nd generation American experience.
We're so thrilled @niv_tales will be joining us as with a new comic! Niv lives & works in New York, wandering between drawing, writing, and animating. She likes making work about queerness, feelings, and magic.
Delighted to have @sadiyadraws at SB Comics Fair! A self-taught illustrator from London, Sathya loves creating bright and colourful illustrations and short animation loops. Her work draws inspiration from her culture and own experiences, and places she's been during her travels.
