Dr Merlot would join Salem in order to expand on his research, while also have a small infatuation with her. The rest of his motivations seen in Grimm Eclipse stays the same though, however rather than Watts, it's Merlot who developed the queen Virus to Cinder.

My OC Vino Greyback and his Hound Cartel. He's a psychopath but with his own motivation, as he joined Salem on the promise of restoring Vacuo to its Warrior Culture. He trained Cinder on the art of hunting. He also has a fierce rivalry with Qrow Branwen.

I'm rewriting Salem and Cinder. Why? Because I believe both of them would be better off being the same person. Cinder is painted as sadistic and power hungry, and Salem's goal According to the reference book is acquire the maiden powers and rule the world.
