@tenmamaemi If I had to guess, it's probably because they're trying to make it look more like the manga's current art style,
which changed pretty significantly over the last 10+ years

I wanted to recreate it as faithfully as possible,
but it was difficult since the original artwork is pixelated

I had to use his portrait from Impact as reference for details that weren't shown in OG

Tried to recreate Kyosuke's portrait art from SRW OG (GBA)

There's nothing I can say that others haven't already said far better than I ever could
