Reminds me of Paula Rego's designs for wine bottle labels that were rejected! See all six @HogarthsHouse. https://t.co/rIG1sieSAe
Hogarth said it first 'The World's End' https://t.co/jSLMcVqSsY https://t.co/1FB34zZOHO
Went to @HogarthsHouse today to see the Paula Rego show including six prints intended to be reproduced on wine bottle labels. However, the true Hogarthian spirit was a bit much for the wine company and they were never used. Not surprising really. But lovely aquatint! Here's one.
@nickymonkey @MartinRowson Hogarth does it again https://t.co/jSLMcVqSsY
@blueloutter It's a version of a misogynistic image that seems to have been popular. Here are two prints @britishmuseum
@blueloutter Some images of women at work in the Universal Magazine (1760s) - all related to textiles - none as skilled as printmaking
Working from home isn't a new idea. Thomas Hood's Song of the Shirt, 1843 - Victorian remote working. https://t.co/17ICAsZn5s https://t.co/wHS1Wfw2Zy
Come and see Bluelou's work @Cartoonmuseumuk when it reopens on Thursday 3rd December. https://t.co/zKT8k4WkK9
