Jen and the gang's appearance is very manga and anime-inspired, but her actions and movements are very much like American cartoons.

A classic SR Toonz series of mine I thought I would pay a tribute to. ^^

When a Starman is eaten in Super Mario Toons, it gives one super strength and speed, the ability to fly, and of course, invincibility/invulnerability. All that, but for a limited time. The Yoshi Star does the exact same, but it only works for the Yoshi species. Starmen are rare.
