I don't feel I did as much really neat stuff as I did in 2018, but here are some ones I liked. ;v; #bestof2019 #Artof2019
Doing that watercolor painting of Sonic really helped me get a much better grasp of how to emulate the watercolor style somewhat in digital format! I always admire how artists can emulate traditional art digitally.
More fall stuff, this time with fluff of Sonic and Charon. -v-
Made my first attempt at painting after 10 years (because I was really bad at it xD;;), with autumn inspiration! I need to get better paper for watercolor, though.... I used construction paper, LOL. It doesn't look nearly as good photographed or scanned as it does in person.
Felt like doing something fun and simple, and childhood nostalgia gave me ideas. Bomberman fanart! I always loved playing these games with family when I was little. ;v;
Also, can we please stop and appreciate the little black eyelashes in X's style for male Sonic characters? That has always been one of my most favorite aspects of the Sonic X style. I've always taken care to incorporate the black lash into my own art style inspired by it.
Satoshi Hirayama's style in Sonic X has always been a huge inspiration for me and an influence on my own art style for Sonic. It's cute, but still can be serious and cool. Sonic X is my most fond memory of Sonic, so it holds a special place to me, art and story. I love it.
Yaaaaaaaaaaay! I finished one! :,D Fanart of One Week Friends. From left to right, Hajime Kujo, Shogo Kiryu, Yuki Hase, Kaori Fujimiya, and Saki Yamagishi. They're all so excited! ...Except for Shogo, but what's new about that? xD
The second Sonic and Sailor Moon cafe crossover (yes, I did two because I really found the idea cute XD).
These are from Sailor Moon's Q-pot and Sonic's Coppe Pan cafe designs!
Look at the intensive flow of action, very loose and expressive poses, and in-your-face foreshortening Mr. Yuji Uekawa's doing for the wallpapers this year. Like, dang!
A rose portrait of Celes. I never was very good with markers, so I've avoided using them, but I decided to try a mixed media thing with colored pencils AND markers. I mostly just laid marker over the colored pencils to make the color crisper, but it's a start. xD
