Everyone has a past, including Asura. When Asura was in her 20s she was even more of a delinquent punk than she currently is. Her Witch Eye hasn't awoken at this time so she relies on magic cards like Tawa, but still able to kick a lot of ass.

If Lucy can't wear her magician outfit to go into the McDonald's to get her Happy Meal with Chicken McNuggets, then she's gonna make sure she can have fun with her casual clothes & can hula-hoop with her belt whenever she wants. Can't stop these tricks.

It looks like there's a corporate rivalry between the head of the Yami Zaibatsu, Asura, and the founder of Fondre Corp, Ms Fondre. However this plays out both Tawa & Yui know they're gonna get wrapped up in all this.
