#OxReads2022 #TheBoys vol2 has now been read…most volumes are 5-6 issues…this was 8 and I’m exhausted. The first 4 issues deal with Supes being gay and this underlying homophobia swim handled by different people. Butcher, Hughie, and Supes come to the table differently…

Such beautiful art and orchestrated story across three nearly 50-page issues finds us diving into religion, freedom of choice, media theatrics…and all leading to a single choice. And now I need to find more adventures! Truly incredible and worth finding!!!

And now the crescendo. Holy shit. The way everything came together is just absolutely brilliant! The story, the art…all of it. I wish I had read this when it came out because I would have been fully enraptured and dying waiting for the next!!! This idea of ‘Love’ is beautiful.

Look at how fucking epic that wraparound cover for Issue 7 is?! I mean comeon!!!! It’s even more heartbreaking when you realize the moment it captures. I couldn’t put #Heathen down and had to finish it! Issue 8 finds us going off on our own once more…

Starting the 5th volume too, and these specials have been too cool. A break in the normal bat-shit crazy story and find out more on the family, but most importantly the Curse Words…
