I'm also very happy I managed to cover two fighting games- these are difficult but rewarding to write about! They were Star Gladiator, Capcom's first real 3D fighting game

And the delightful Waku Waku 7, Arina best girl don't @ me

Still, I managed to cover games I've wanted to look at for a good while, such as Capcom's excellent game based on The Punisher

And Taito's very early maze-em-up Chack'n Pop, which even got cited (properly!) in a YouTube video~

My traditional teaser image didn't get fully revealed this time. The last 3 bits- Alien Syndrome, NES EarthBound and our fourth micro visual novel- didn't quite make it.
Sorry about that. Better to have them done well than done badly, you know? As a treat, here's the full image.
It's close enough to the end of the year, right? So, let's have our traditional YEAR-IN-REVUE. What, if anything, did Gaming Hell get up in the year 2021?
Enough, probably!
In particular, if you've ever seen this artwork of Elle Moon from the game, it's by Mina Morioka, Westone character designer, drawn several years after the game was cancelled.

A tiny update to our New International Track & Field page with screenshots and info on the Konami guest characters, at long last, plus a save file for you to try them yourself.

The Guest Characters page has had a bit of an update. New and unexpected challengers appear, one after the other! Can you keep up?!

Breaking Guest Character news, I had to go through the Wayback Machine to find this save file from 2008 but I can ~finally~ screenshot all the guests from New International Track & Field!!
As far as I'm aware there's no gameplay differences between the JP and EN ROMs, but we are missing out on the translated cutscenes. They're good.
See that last RT is important because a) it's Lilith and b) it's Lilith drawn by Shunya Yamashita whose work you might recognise from recent Tekken titles!
