One of the funniest is Senran Kagura: Bon Apetit! on Vita, which had a physical release in Japan, so you're safe, right?

Wrong.

An entire half of the game is paid DLC. Even for the Japanese physical release.

If, for example, you have a European physical copy of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle on PS3, I hope you booted it up before now- an essential Campaign Mode update was delisted on EU PSN, so you can't play most of the story or online with people. Sucks to be you.

As for PS Vita, main thing you'll notice on the Japanese side is how many games had Vita ports that didn't get localised.

PSP is interesting in the West because there were games given a translation only in digital form late in its life, like Black Rock Shooter: The Game, Corpse Party (better versions released later), Carnage Heart EXA and Sweet Fuse: At Your Side (physical versions US / JP only)
