*GAMING THINGS WE THINK ARE... ???* In some box arts, Opa-Opa of Fantasy Zone fame has eyes. You otherwise don't see them.

If you've never played Metal Black before, it's is one of the most visually-striking shmups of the early 90s, an almost-eerie game backed by an incredible and moody soundtrack.
If you can, definitely take the chance to experience the beautiful bleakness of this game!
In any case, these games are very interesting- they're very small and simple by necessity, but a lot of them are really fun and interesting, so if you have the opportunity, give some of 'em a try!
There was also the Game no Kanzume games- Vol. 1 and 2 on Mega CD and a Mega Drive download version, Otokyou, from a later online service found on a Dream Passport disc. The CD versions sometimes had extra CD audio but not all of 'em, but these are the best versions available.
One detail you might notice is that Paco / Talmit's ponytail was snipped off for the US and European boxart.
They did this to his artwork in-game too! (The bunnygirl lost her ears as well).

BOX ART BATTLE - Marvel Land / Talmit's Adventure (Namco, 1991, Mega Drive) Japan, US, Europe

A whimsical platformer set in a theme park, ported frrom the arcade version. The European version got a title change and the art flipped for some reason!
I'll be trying the game out as soon as I'm able, but I've looked at the previous games in the series before. You can find my articles here~

I really, really like the first Yomawari! The second one, not as much.
With those last RTs, The Wing of Madoola fans are out in force! It's a pretty neat little game- not without its faults but some parts of the internet give it a hard time

And yes, Super Bomberman R Online (as well as the normal R) has Shiori Fujisaki from Tokimeki Memorial.
She's also in Bombergirl. Bombs are a big part of Tokimemo after all...

Next month on Gaming Hell...
... Get back to me on that.
Here's a hastily-cobbled-together set of teaser images for some futureshocks coming to the site in the near future! Probably! Maybe! I dunno!!
