Barring miraculous appearance of a pileated woodpecker, my #BiggishYear is set to end up at 153 species. Not bad for a prairie girl. Just for fun, I thought I'd tweet pics of what I've seen - in order of appearance on e-bird lists for 2019. Here's the first 4 (1/?).

Who needs a thermometer? You can tell how cold it is by the degree of floof on display by the local nuthatches.

Even through the hazy kitchen window you can see just how much the minus twenty-something weather is appreciated by this nuthatch. Nuthatch is not amused.

The gadwall is described by some as "just brown". LOL. #ArtAdventCalendar
