Just finished this study of Michelangelo's David sculpture. I did learn some things from it, as I have also identified my tendency of drawing things bigger than they are supposed to be.

Today I fixed the values in the coloured areas, fixed Shantae`s nose and proceeded to the polishing stage. Now the lines are no longer necessary (I decided to go for a lineless painting)

Now it's just a matter of chilling a having fun.

Some analysis I did for shading the face

More progress today! I flattened the layers and refined a little bit in some areas. I also gave the face a more 3D definition and started working on colours.

Don't know if I keep the lines or take them off, but I am currently working to take them off.

More progress made! Now I have mostly figured out the other elements within the light and shadow groups, such as Reflected Light, some Rim, a little bit of Ambient Occlusion, more halftones and some highlight.

Some progress! Didn't work much on it today, but I got the lights and shadows mostly down. The face is a little tricky, but I stole one of my gf's anime action figures for reference XD

I was practicing some painting by doing Klonoa in grayscale. It’s an old drawing that I fixed some minor stuff. Never finished this...

This is what we got so far! Still looks like crap!! But eventually it will look better (I hope)

Making progress. Got a base for the sculpture done in Blender (as it is easier to use reference in it).

Now let's import this to ZBrush and see how everything will work out.
