This series is just so packed. So much you can pull out of it and understand from each character in how they think and feel, which translates to their actions. They're very real in a lot of ways.

I feel people just don't understand what they're looking at when they see Clannad anime designs.

Clannad doesn't have bigger eyes than most anime. The faces are just rounder and less tall.
The eyes aren't even further apart. It's just the face shape.
