It's #NationalIceCreamDay, a good time to remember that DECO/Data East's "Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory" shows that the letter on his hat is for whatever meal he's dealing with in the game. I for Ice Cream, H for Hamburger (the JPN name for BurgerTime).

There's going to be a regular-sized update on the 19th to celebrate the ScrollBoss site's anniversary. One of the sprites that'll be added is Upski Daisy, a character from another of my Illmosis Network things, Beans vs. Cornbread!

Chose some characters at random to make a pic in the image generator and post it on IG to see if my account was still in jank mode. May as well post it here, too. (font by Capcom, of course)

@MarkMan23 Some of the old Final Fight art, including the flyer, had Guy wearing red Chucks. I keep wondering if there's some story in Gamest or some other JPN mag that goes into Guy being a sneakerhead.

I don't remember if I pointed this out before, but all the screens in both versions of the G.I.JOE HQ background are redrawn mini versions of game screens and the Epyx game is in there twice.

That new Cobra background is based on a one-on-one stage from the Epyx video game, one of my favorites for the Commodore 64.

Tommy Unpronounceable is in a Silent Interlude-inspired pose and the Trooper matches the new Officer sprite I posted yesterday (and I'll make more troops based on that pose later).
