Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Lappet-faced vulture in lipstick.
@caitlinmoran @Jenroless Anyway these are my various weird takes on being inside a body/ face I don’t like that much (this is such a journey and I when I grow up I want to be like you Caitlin)
A spin on the theme of Daphne, the nymph who was turned into a laurel tree by her mother, Gaia, to rescue her from the god Apollo. There’s also a reference to Leda. Women have a horrible time in Greek mythology.
@EdwardthembaSa I’m a big fan of a lot of those and also the violet-backed starling (hence my current avatar)
@JortsTheCat This is a beautiful gift, Jorts. You and Jean are the gift many of us needed this year.
Merry Christmas, people on my timeline! May your day be full of colour, life and joy.
New Christmas bird bauble. This is a violet-backed starling. They have strange little calls and movements to go with their extraordinary colours - like an 18th century mechanical toy #NewProfilePic
Paintings of creatures that make me happy, as represented by Christmas baubles for a metaphorical tree of gratitude.
@13Keneilwe Love your lipstick in your cover photo! I paint cattle in lipstick (yes, really). This is a Bonsmara bull.
