Since some folks still don't get it; the point here is that the mandates aren't some solid barrier to creativity. We've seen plenty go against the "rules" that shows Sega is willing to compromise on certain matters. IDW's done some good stuff, and will keep on doing that.

@yardleyart God, I'm still hurting over not getting to see these guys in action. It's such a hilariously cheesy concept that's completely on-brand for Sonic.

At the very least, you inspired me to make my own OC a total fanboy for the show that was never meant to be. : p

@MoiraAunty The original Sonic-style version of Leap doesn't wear much more than the usual gloves and shoes, with his scarf being the main feature (and the occasional gadget). The version for my not-Sonic-related original comic strips him down more for simplicity's sake.
