Erika served in civil air defense (Luftschutz) as a first-aid volunteer, helping those who were wounded and sick from the air raids. She is still wearing her BDM uniform and was issued a civilian gas mask to protect herself against the toxic gas generated by the burning ruins.

This drawing was done by @gar32drawshit, we try to recapture the moment when Erika meets the shoebill in the Berlin Zoological Garden in 1940.
Erika is young and sanguine, happily receiving a feather from the Shoebill.
They meet again in 1945.
Working on a gymnastics dress version of Erika with Useless. It is similar in style to an old fashion bathing costume.
