Gonna call this one finished at last! Watercolour portrait from screenshot of character on a show (Ye Baiyi from Word of Honor), on cotton paper, with colour pencil additions.
Did a scrawl around on the crappy watercolour paper and tried painting in the shapes with the cheap watercolour paint. Still not got a good grasp on how much water to add with the pigment. Trying to remove excess water from the shapes with a tissue sometimes made it worse.
It's almost Wednesday here so I figured I'd put a WIP; was trying to do a thing until I stopped wanting to do the thing anymore, so it may stay unfinished. Sketched with a sumi-e type tool in Rebelle - it ran into itself a lot and I was trying to render over that.
Of course the link did not show up as I'd expected it to. I'll repost them both here then.
I did this thing! #Artsummary2022 Kinda surprised I had that many pieces that were not just face study sketches this year. Or like, at all.
Oil pastel portrait on canvas board, partly referenced from a screenshot I'd drawn before.
Day 9 of drawing in October, prompt is "Kasa Obake" or Umbrella Ghost, via @UncannyJapan for #Uncannytober2022 #Uncannytober
