tbh a huge chunk of the Koopaling hype died down the moment Miyamoto said they're not Bowser's family anymore, but rather his "army". There was this HUGE value in Bowser being evil but at the same time a responsible father of 8. The Koopalings are still cool, but they were cooler

@ComicalDude @SophNar0747 I guess what truly saves it is the fact that it is REALLY small, so the face is so low res we can't tell much about the features. If it covered the same space as, let's say, a boss, maybe it could've been more problematic. Their design was heavily changed in the show anyways.

@StarAl20 @cxsmicverge Si. Es un argumento ridículo. Esas fotos no son "paletas pastel", solo VISTEN colores pastel. Evidentemente todo alrededor de ellos será pastel menos ellos. La iluminación es clave. Existen ejemplos en todos lados de mujeres afro dibujandose en colores pastel. ¿Por qué omitirlas?

@JazzyFuture @teelopesmusic Not really. Just because it doesn't follow the status quo doesn't mean it's bound to fail. If it sucks, that's because Illumination did a poor job, not because it's different. Heck, Mario has tons of artstyles, dunno why you chose him as an example of how to not change a style.

@elliotduby @Fawfulthgreat64 @NintendoAmerica I think it was a deliverate art choice. Master Mantis from Warioware has no mouth either.

Orbulon had some of the most drastic changes in the Warioware series. Went from eerie and weird to cute and marketable. Kinda weird to see how easily the fandom has accepted this change. I really dig it, I'm just not used to the masses just accepting changes like that.
