I decided to try out a new process for making character sprites, using a combo of Clip Studio Paint and Aseprite for sprite work. Here's an example of clean-up on a sprite.
Featuring @DingDongVG 's Tough Bippy.
Restarted attempt. This time I tried drawing the character out in Flash, then reworking the sprite afterward. This should look a lot better later on.
Nothing makes me shudder more than when I'm looking through webm compilations and I see someone actually break a limb. I just shrivel up inside.
@ZakaZ96 If you make a duplicate of your fully lined and coloured layer, you can set up a 'Cutter' effect layer, and use the duplicate as a mask, then you can add the Blending functions to it.
The MGM mask gonna getcha - Based off a tweet by @doublemaximus (go read Gwendy & Ghost if you haven't, Ciara's work is a blessing on this earth)
Offhand thought - I would like 2.5D versions of the original Donkey Kong Country games that actually use the original 3D model renders.
In all seriousness, I think a neat addition to Smash would be Wart from SMB2/Doki Doki Panic as an echo for Bowser
