#HytaleTheory: As many of you are aware, @Hytale's Zone 4, the "Devastated Lands" contains massive, lush underground caves stacked on top of each other. My belief is that; Not only are there similar subterranean biomes in the other zones, Slothians may exist in other areas too!

It also seems they require a sacrifice, as despite literally never taking off their masks, they hunt animals (and people).

(Alternative theory is they venture to old battlefields to find cadavers for their rituals)

To take advantage of these wells, the outlanders (accompanied by a priest) travel to ancient ritual sites where they remove the "volunteer's" heart, implant a magic gem, and revive the body using ancient magic wielded by the priests to create a sentient undead.

With this discovery they follow Varyn as the "true god" of Orbis, granting them something Gaia never could have. Donning their bodies and homes in horns and diamonds as sacred symbols of their new god.

So, at some point in history, Varyn becomes a presence in Orbis. While most of the races universally agree "this is bad"... (1 of ?)
