Part 2 of my character concepts for Yúnian island. The world of “Blue” is made up entirely of islands, so all the humans have vastly differing cultures/characteristics!

Kong consoling Kiko after she had an argument with Zhaki. Drawing Kiko and Kong in these venerable states felt great and displaying their depth as characters is a core focus as the author of #sharksdontsleep.

My #dtiys challenge was a success! In celebration, I turned the piece into an animation to tell the story of what’s actually happening aboard the ship!
