A retweet of some awesome #Ironsworn #Starforged art by @joshmeehanart. Because it's Friday and I feel like it.
Next, a bit of stage setting. The Forge is a globular cluster orbiting your home galaxy. Your people fled here after some sort of cataclysm. How the heck did you get way out here? We'll find out!
I told myself I was going to keep #Ironsworn #Starforge art under wraps for a while, but I have no willpower. So, here's a couple of awesome pieces from @joshmeehanart.
None of this is remotely realistic, of course, but it's a good model for the sort of environments I want you to explore in Ironsworn Starforge. Realism be damned.
Okay, so I've got a soft spot for Titan A.E., and I rewatched it this weekend. It's very much not good, but it's also awesome, if you take my meaning. The unfortunate soundtrack of late-90's tunes did not age well😬. What does hold up is the space vistas, which are beautiful.
I've offered some peeks at this over the last few weeks, but I'm thrilled to share this final cover art for Ironsworn: Starforge from @joshmeehanart. It's utterly badass.
I've released a mini playtest kit for #Ironsworn: Starforge. This is the pew-pew playtest, focused on introducing some positioning mechanics and firearm assets.
It's in Google Slides format (!), and you can grab it here: https://t.co/5r1RpMytCo
Look at this badass #Ironsworn art by @zaffremage, shared on Reddit. To quote: "Our campaign has led to my character Svala becoming crippled and Overseer of the fortress town of Eldenmount, preparing to go to war with an army of horrors, lead by a coven of evil vampire elves."
I didn't encounter too many opportunities to play RPG's in the ensuing years, but I bought the books. I read every page of The Dragon Magazine in the 90's, even when I wasn't gaming. I imagined the adventures they held. The possibilities. Treasures just out of reach.
