Conclusion: the ai portrait generating apps and services are garbage. For now. They will get better, and quickly, I'm sure. But Midjourney is still the GOAT. Check out these ones I did of Chrissie Mayr (after she wasted money on such an app/service) #aiart
@ChrissieMayr Pardon my spam, but I'm obsessed with #aiart, and those new portrait generating apps are a ripoff. I use Midjourney. $30/month unlimited generations, and you get to decide what the theme is gonna be.
@SJWwasteland @EthanVanSciver @johnnynotbanned Well I've accumulated a stockpile of it.
@phartvaj Photoshop comes in when I wanna put multiple portraits together like in this one, and then I use more #ai to blend the scene together (it looks sorta janky at the "seams") using https://t.co/k3lmsaNGWD's "infinite image" to make it look like they're all in the same room.
The fact that the majority of the results dont look like me might also be due to the quality of images I provided, and I only provided like 20 when they really needed 30.
You would need to be allowed to have "redos" to get your favorites just right.
These are the ones that looked the most like me in the face, and I like the cleavage boost I was given in 1 & 2 here, but something still looks off..
to those who know what I look like, she looks like a cousin or lookalike at best, but not enough like me to consider it an a.i. portrait of myself. There WERE some hits, and some terrible misses (cropped off heads, weird deformed faces). Here's some of the good:
I did get a chance to beta test one of the new #ai portrait generating services that is not public yet, from https://t.co/QW1wjPgnEM. In return, I provided feedback about pricing & quality. The creator sent me about 200 image results.. Biggest prob is it thinks I'm this chick 🧵
Probably gonna redo this with a different Cecil to alleviate any confusion. I’ll add Jon too
