also fun fact Mito's lil Buddy monster is just a puppet that's the alternate form of the one she's taking on currently (so, it represents her true form now).

It also tends to look cold and angry, perhaps reflecting its partner's true emotions....

funnily enough, Shiba in my style makes him look more like an ~aesthetic~ than he does in the manga which makes me ??? bc I've never liked Shiba's looks aesthetically but personality-wise hot damn

and for ref: this is his older and lazier dragonified design

ditched a lot of things (wings, eyes, feathers, etc) and i think it works for the better in the new design! or, well, i feel like I captured Baku better in the above than in this old piece
