Metroid: Samus Returns was a reimagining of Metroid II: Return of Samus for the GameBoy. In 2017 it released on 3DS, and was the return of a traditional 2D Metroid game, something not seen for 13 years

Metroid: Samus Returns was also announced on this day five years ago for Nintendo 3DS, developed by @MercurySteam which released shortly after on September 15th 2017.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes released in 2004, and was a battle of light vs dark, as Samus explores planet Aether, and introduced the Ing and Luminoth to the series.

Released in 1994, Super Metroid is considered to be one of the greatest video games ever! Samus took her fight back to Zebes in an attempt to save the baby Metroid, and defeat Mother Brain.

Today marks 28 years since #SuperMetroid originally launched, in North America on March 19th 1994 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
