The ebony lacerorn, Paradoxia's premiere jungle apex predator. Though they may seem ill suited for such a lifestyle, their legs are remarkably dexterous and powerful, allowing them to scale the colossal trees better than most of their primarily terrestrial relatives.

Just one species of an already incredibly diverse family of reptilian creatures, redback monarchs resemble the most basal members of the viperrets.
An island crosser that varies dramatically in size across it's range, their versatility and adaptability are nothing to scoff at.
