I love Ratana Satis and her work, but unless things pick up soon, I’m afraid I’ll have to call this her weakest story so far 😔

I really hope something happens soon that improves my opinion. Maybe Kenzie will be able to spice things up once she gets more screen time 😎

All of the characters so far feel like watered-down versions of Ratana’s old characters...

-Claire is a less energetic Lynn
-Sheryl is a less intimidating Sue
-Theia is a less charismatic Mel (it’s funny how she’s actually more compelling after becoming a cyborg 😅)

Ratana Satis’ Soul Drifters feels, ironically, quite soulless.

The art is beautiful and the story is cool, but it moves at a super slow pace and the characters have next to no personality. We barely learn anything about them before jumping into the action 😐
