@Onigiriii8 Here's sample pic if this helps (ignore the fact that it isn't smooth gradients, I was using a tool made for pixelart lol)
It's generally the underside of shapes that gets darker (light coming from above) or covered by e.g. hair. Also don't be afraid to go strong on the shadows.
