I toil over words for what seems like hours.

Finding safe passage was tough.
I worried our rations would be confiscated by Holy Orb, & we'd be sold for broth.
It's possible- happened to others.
But I studied their scripture, learned their tells, so when the time came to escape this #godforsaken place, we were ready.

Oh, how their nightmares breed the monstrous, within these #flickering walls. Look at it- nestled by the bedside- its teeth gnashing, as it awaits its coming supper.
Poor child.
Sleep, in its eyes.
Slowly rising.
Unaware that this the last nap they'll ever have.
