Sketch tip #87: just Payne’s grey and a tiny splash of skin tone is enough to capture everything you need to. A 55° fude pen with brown ink is just right for a lovely warm sketch, full of movement, of a person concentrating on something.
Sketch tip #82: nothing to add to this one really. It’ll be the subject of my Sketch Therapist podcast later on today - that and a few small sketching moments
Sketch tip #74: there’s ALWAYS something to sketch. Waiting ten minutes for someone to come out of the doctor? Cars will do nicely thanks.
Sketch tip #71: sooner or later you’ll want to depict real live humans going about their daily business, and they’ll be moving. A good way to get used to capturing moving humans is to sketch musicians: they move, but they always come back to the position you’re drawing.
