update: with the help of @nickowolfo, we managed to get the alert for the npcs working. halfway done for the textbox system. and we got a npc Nicko in town =D

more game develop.. spend the day trying to make textboxes work, and failed. but got the preview of a NPC, a friendly @mockulino, and a redesign of the tree, not stretched this time

more development. attacks are working on all directions, and added a small objective for the practice, get the 4 scrolls, go to the portal and win

another preview of my practice with gamemaker 2. added enemies that follow you, health bar, health items and a small shader to make the player blink when it take damage... gotta say i'm really susprised with myself in this tiny project
