overall the game's very, very good, it feels really distinct even compared to other Mario RPGs
I do think some things could have been better, and the platforming is indeed really finicky, but battles and exploration are fun and the difficulty curve is nicely balanced
and that's the end of that
Peach+Lazy Shell really does kinda turn the rest of the game into a joke, but even then the final boss fights were p fun
took me a while to realize you can hit the smelter in phase 1, and even longer to realize phase 2's head and body were separate
well, I'm just about at the endgame
I remembered reading about how Peach with the Lazy Shell is a good combo but I didn't realize it was straight-up broken lmao
well, I finished up Ages last night
as I mentioned before bed these two games are still absolutely cream-of-the-crop, and replaying them again really helped refresh my memory on 'em
