Taking my pfp one step at a time while I try to figure out finalized colors
Practice #26: More headshots with Shirou Ogami and two OCs. I have found a good/consistent way to draw animal heads, especially the muzzle (I struggled with perspective; I just align the nose first now). Switched to Clip Studio Paint; I like the cleaner lines.
#BNA #ShirouOgami
Haha, it's been a while since I've drawn something so here's a 3-hour super rough headshot of Shirou Ogami (from #BNA). Drawing on phone is working well. There's no pressure sensitivity for Ibis Paint X though :(
Whatever; at least I can draw again (very rusty as expected) :D
@SukizukiIzuna @Ikorus92 Hello, I'm Skyfire, and I'm an amateur digital artist who been trying to improve for the last four months.
Here's a few artists that deserve more love:
@flauvourr @ItsZunset @jason397a @assassintheshe1 @Tallowick @ConfusedMoa @Celdis_La_Trash @Vulpro3 @OVK_Thorn
WIP #4: So much floof! Maybe too much floof. Hmm...
Finally refined almost all of the coloring. Moving on to shading, highlighting, and background (which will take forever) After much experimenting, I think I found a way to paint fur :)
There's gonna be so much fur to shade :3
WIP #3: This is my first time painting something more than a headshot. Still studying how fur works, as well as understanding ambient lighting and backgrounds. So far, I've just blocked out some shadows (haven't refined them yet). Making slow but steady progress.
I've been starting to lean towards a painterly style after seeing a bunch of painters and their fantastic artworks. There's something clean about digital painting that I want to explore and experiment with. Here's a WIP of a (painted) dragon OC to prepare for my next headshot.
This is the first headshot (out of four) for @ConfusedMoa ! Hope you like it!
Drawing this let me experiment with techniques unused in my previous works (ex: eyes, soft shadows, lines). It's been 3 months since I started drawing and I'm surprised to see the progress I've made.
Practice #14: I'm gonna polish one thing at a time and then combine the end results into a drawing I can be proud of. Experimented with eye shading styles and followed @ZillionRoss 's shading tutorial to start understanding shadows on volumes. I'm liking the eye designs.
