Some of my favourite PAN illustrations, paintings and frescos
The Temple at Chiswick House Park from The Light in Suburbia by @ianarchiebeck
BELIAL, emperor of the flies, by surrealist artist Wilfredo Lam, 1948. Belial is a demon, on the left is Venus (the numbers form a magical square attributed to Venus) on the right the god of war Mars and Chango, Yoruba god of thunder. Tate Modern, personal photo.
Casting that love spell is not only unethical, foolish and likely to backfire, it will also just bind you tighter in the snares of Aphrodite, the beautiful mistress of illusion who rules this world.
After 30+ years magical practise, I would say it can lead to gnosis, but it can also lead to self-delusion, ego inflation and if you are really unlucky, cult indoctrination. We need to be wary of these perils and listen to our family and friends to keep our feet on the ground.
