i liked Brave Fencer Musashi a lot as a kid, even if i never finished it, cuz you had a big sword and a small sword and you can use enemy's powers against them
it was one of the earlier action RPGs and it's great fun
i think about Gigantic all the time. ALL the time.
nothing has filled the Gigantic shaped hole in my heart
an intense action MOBA that predates the hero shooter trend with a better understanding of team play and 3D space than most, with a GORGEOUS art style hngghg
Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers
one of those games burned into my memory because of its A++ pixel art, but can't remember much of because I played it when I was like 6
i do remember the characters cameo-ing in the original Marvel VS Capcom, so that was pretty neat
there's also TOMBA!
a solid platformer + metroidvania, the game mixes its tight controls with rpg concepts (like lots of optional upgrades, quests, etc)
jumping onto things and throwing enemies on top of a great understanding of verticality makes tomba a blast to play
