For #MedievalMonday we have this is a drawing of a #medievalfloortile from the Austin friars priory at Ludlow. It is decorated with an IHS monogram and has a crown inside a circle. We think there is something very delicate about this watercolour.

Queen Anne Boleyn was executed #OnThisDay in 1536. Her portrait comes from our copy of "Imitations of original drawings by Hans Holbein" by John Chamberlaine, published 1792-1800. It was a landmark work in bringing Holbein's portraits in the Royal Collection to public attention.
