Some lore: Reno was a demon exiled from her home realm at a young age, and to fit in with the human realm more she put an illusion over her demonic features.

Later executed (👀) by a crossbow, the illusion was shattered.

Red, a human with demon skin artificially attached to them.

Red wanted to be like Reno, who they saw as a parental figure, and that’s why they look so similar to each other.

However Reno is more ‘put together’ and Red is quite chaotic.
