X9.3 flare event from earlier today. Bright CME visible and should likely impact Earth by Friday. Geomagnetic storming likely.

Solar wind has reached Earth. Bz currently south and geomagnetic storming being observed at higher latitudes, Visible aurora possible.

Shock passage detected by ACE. SW @ 500+ km/s. CME should sweep past Earth within hour. Sky watchers should be alert
