I've never watched the breakfast club, but seeing clips and gifs
They surprisingly fit so well with my cast of characters xD
Kana and ray are like exactly ally and Claire (aesthetic-wise)
Jai also has a lot of friends too! He meets them all across the galaxy.
They aren't all always in contact cause it's such a large galaxy but they occasionally run into each other

He basically just travels planet to planet hanging out and also learning about the people and such.

He did get dropped off on earth for a year, luckily he had a friend who was already on earth so he crashed with them for a year, while also exploring earth a bit learning things
His room was very decorated xD
Jai is sorta a drifter he can't afford his own ship (yet) so he just hitches rides with randoms whenever he needs to go somewhere
Obviously it's not free so Jai offers to fix up things in a persons ship all he ask in return is a place to rest and maybe food
