@fbfishslap 2017, holy fuck. I can't. Too much good in one year. Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Cuphead, etc. But I'm gonna settle with Sonic Mania. Simply put, it made me feel like a kid again. I like that.
@fbfishslap Yeesh, 2016 was another dry spell. Didn't play much new, or didn't finish what I started (Final Fantasy XV). This is cheating, but 2016 was when I finally gave Undertale a shot. Great characters, fantastic music, but I feel tries a little too hard to convey a message at times.
Though technically a late 2009 release in Japan, America and Europe wouldn't see Bayonetta until early 2010, so it counts for me, dammit. One of the best character action games I've played, and one I'm glad I found on a complete whim. QTEs date it, but it's still one I recommend.
A few takeaways from the latest Team Sonic Racing short:
- Rouge still uses flip phones in 2019.
- Omega is precious.
- Shadow is an asshole to Chao.
- Egg-Pawns are programmed to grieve.
