Following his successful mini-series, Knuckles received his own monthly ongoing comic series in 1997! Knuckles the Echidna would run for 32 issues with the first multi-part story introducing Enerjak's followers - the Dark Legion! #KnucklesMonth

After appearing in issues of Sonic comics, Knuckles finally broke into his own stories with a Knuckles mini-series: Rites of Passage! This introduced Knuckles' mentor Archimedes and pitted the Chaotix against one of their greatest villains - the godlike Enerjak! #KnucklesMonth

Fun fact: One of our new characters to premiere in SUO #51, Scarlett O’Fenn, was originally a background character designed by @benbatesart that appeared in a single panel of StH #218. We liked the design so much, we decided to turn her into a full-fledged character!
