Mio Nishizono is an old fave of mine, and still my favourite Key girl. I love her she contrasts the rest of the cast. Everyone else is so full of energy, but she is so quiet, soft-spoken, gentle and calm.

Honourable mention to Lio and Galo too, for many of the reasons stated above. Love and empathy conquering all barriers, a synthesis of two kindred souls overturning the corrupt systems of oppression that dominate the world. I can't get enough of stories like this!

Nia Teppelin is a sheltered princess who knows nothing of the world. She's like a baby when we first meet her. But despite that, she has this incredible inner strength and radiance that shines out. She's not just a pure princess, she's virtuous and perceptive.

Hajime Ichinose is perfect. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like. She gives off the allure of a manic pixie dream girl, and she kinda is, but she's also the most emotionally intelligent character I've ever seen.
