My second gripe with the anime is that they didn’t make it clear that the Fingers were actually Betelgeuse all along rather than just his disciples.

For one, the anime completely glossed over the decimation of the first 6 or so Finger camps. Because of this we don’t get the full scope of just how arduous the journey was for Subaru and how much responsibility he felt he had over the deaths of the Expeditionary Force members

WTF Greed is built like that?? He wiped out an entire fortress of Vollachian soldiers by himself and even killed Kurgan?? Reading the Sword Ballad trilogy really puts his strength into perspective he’s insane holy shit

I felt like this episode was written by Oda. Loved every second of it. Especially that part where Beckmann was carrying Luffy with the instrumental of one of Uta’s songs. Also didn’t expect that Beckmann Sakuga that was neat

Finished Sword Demon Battle Ballad 3

Finally completed the trilogy. From start to finish this part has been nothing but peak. Stride is easily my favorite antagonist in the series so far. He was so evil in an extremely sane yet unsettling way. Loved it. 10/10
